The Village Barn Playhouse
welcomes you to the
Village Barn Play Club.
It’s like a book club, but for plays!
The Village Barn Playhouse is the community’s theatre. When choosing our upcoming productions we’re interested to know which stories speak to you!
We all know that when it comes to creating theatre, it takes a village. We’d love to spend some time each month discussing contemporary and classic works while getting more in touch with our community.
Our Goal: To build our literary database and curate a wide variety of plays exploring themes which align with the mission and values of The Village Barn Playhouse. We're interested in exploring stories that speak to and challenge our notions of community, home, and family from a multicultural storytelling perspective.

How it Works: Once a month we'll announce two plays that our company is reading and we'll then hold a zoom discussion where we compare ideas, themes, images, and wisdom that we found in each of the stories. These are completely open meetings. We're eager to hear your thoughts! Please feel free to extend the invitation to anyone you feel might be interested - no theatre degrees or experience required.

To Clarify - we will not be doing zoom readings of the plays. Instead, you can read the two plays over the course of the month at your leisure, and then we'll come together virtually for conversation and community.
